CINCINNATI – The NCAA announced its latest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data earlier this week, and the University of Cincinnati achieved a 96 percent mark, its sixth-straight year above 92 percent.

The past six years have been the six highest marks from UC in the 18 years the NCAA has announced the data. Cincinnati led the Big 12 and tied for sixth among FBS schools, while its football program was tops in the league and tied for fourth in FBS.

"I am continually inspired by the dedication our student-athletes show to achieving academic excellence at the University of Cincinnati," Director of Athletics John Cunningham said. "Our mission goes beyond athletics—we aim to impact their lives both on and off the field. Leading the Big 12 in Graduation Success Rate is a testament to this commitment and a shared accomplishment. I'm incredibly proud of our student-athletes and deeply grateful to the Student-Athlete Support Services team for their efforts in making this success possible."

Every Cincinnati sport posted an 89 percent or higher GSR for the second-straight year as well. Five teams were perfect: men's golf, women's golf, lacrosse, women's soccer and women's tennis.

"John Cunningham, our head coaches, and our student-athletes want to be the best in the league so accomplishing that goal in graduation rates is no different," said Dr. Joe Luckey, Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director. "Our SASS team prides itself in seeing UC consistently among the top programs in the country when it comes to graduating student-athletes."
