- Finding support and friendship: My journey with UC's iLEAD programStarting my journey at UC College of Nursing was nerve-wracking, especially being far from home and friends. But when I joined the iLEAD program, everything changed. The Learning Community (LC) provided me with a group of supportive peers and mentors who helped me navigate the challenges of nursing school. iLEAD connected us through weekly meetings, offering advice and building lasting friendships. Now, as an iLEAD mentor myself, I love providing the same support to first-year students, ensuring they know they are never alone. UC’s nursing program fosters a community where students help each other thrive, both academically and personally.
